- To look after the supply chain planning process, including procurement, inventory control. - He has to constantly communicate with key personnel and line managers in the procurement, manufacturing, inventory control, distribution and logistics department of the organization to ensure that they understand his objectives. - Responsible for the new vendors development. - Responsible for coordination with active vendors. - Ensure smooth and timely function of supplies. - Responsible for controlling cost. - Developing and maintaining documentation. - Issuance of purchase orders and its related documentation. - Ensure timely submission of bills. - Responsible for vendor data management. - Coordination with plant staff to fulfill shortages. - Any other assignment from Top Management. - MBA preferably in Supply Chain Logistics. - Possess a strong knowledge within a particular industry in addition to basic knowledge of how the supply chain works. - Specialized knowledge for a particular industry will create better negotiations when communicating with suppliers. - The ability to actively listen, communicate effectively, build teams, readily adapt, persuade people, sell the benefits of purchasing involvement, effective time management, and selling a common vision to internal customers are very important. - International awareness of business and cultural norms in foreign countries is also becoming more of a job requisite.
